How Treatment Begins

How Treatment Begins

Clients may begin services through walk-in intake, direct phone contact, or referral or transfer from another facility. EWC also accepts referrals from healthcare providers, treatment facilities, and community organizations.

What to Expect During Intake

Once an intake appointment is scheduled, clients meet with several members of the care team, which may include the Client Benefits Coordinator, Peer Recovery Support Specialist, assigned therapist, and medical provider. Because required assessments and medical reviews take time, the intake process may take place over several days.

From the first visit, clients are welcomed into a supportive and respectful environment. Initial assessments are completed before medication dosing begins, and the care team works to make the process as clear, compassionate, and client-focused as possible.

A Compassionate Opioid Treatment Program Intake Process

The intake process for an opioid treatment program can be detailed, but EWC works to make each step feel manageable and supportive. Our goal is to help clients feel informed, respected, and cared for from the beginning.
